You throw some angry "better than you" messege out to everyone about how good you are and how much you know.
You attack their knowledge of the BR-8, making yourself feel like you know more than them.

Your recordings are incredibly amature, all your recording is bass, vox, and guitar.

1) All you have to do to get good guitar sound is plug in the guitar input.

2) All you have to do to get ga good vox sound is use the vox patches.

3)Bass can be done with pathes or with a properly mic'ed amp, and takes about 5 seconds to set up.

Now everything you DID record sounds like horseshit, you avoided mic'ing the drums by using a drum machine. Talk to some one who knows what theyre talking about and they'll tell you its difficult. You dont have any tour da force recordings, im sorry.

You didn't rewrite OR rerecord Srgt Pepper. But, I must commend you on using preset patches for their intended purpose poorly, someone should give you a gold star. Youre an asshole who gets a power trip from bossing around people who SUPRISINGLY "know less than you."

Oh and with your original stuff, its not the recording that makes it bad anyway. Try writing 30 songs and having one in a different key, or sound different.

NOW after you have attempted to completely avoid looking like an idiot, because I just proved you wrong.

Who opens a post called "Back it up or shut up"?? If for some reason you feel you are so much superior to everyone, great go be famous, nobody cares about it here. And though I really dont care to post ANYTHING, because I dont need to prove anything to you, as you dont have a clue what youre talking about, and have proved to me that youre to ignorant to even know it. However I will post something, as everything ive ever scraped out of the left side of my colon is better in every way shape and form than yours. But i forgot, youre a big rock stack so i must be wrong.

Unfortumately, I have sold my BR-8, and though it was a great machine, simply was less than i needed due to space limitations, data compression(16 bit compressed eww), amount of simultaneous inputs, etc and no longer use it.

When you can answer my questions for you, and explain yourself for acting like you god and being oh-so-wrong on oh-so-many topics, you will get your posts. Including real MIC'D organic drums.

If you have anything intellegent to say, and actually at least try to answer my questions not avoid them with idiocy, i would love to hear it.

When you can justify what youve said ill send you tunes up the yahoo.

I hope you are laughing your ass off at this Jono newbie. I have read all your posts and I have listened to EVERY song you have on your website. I know everybody has different musical styles. Thats what makes music so cool. You can be different. Personally, I like the 3 or 4 chord wonders. 3 chords and some attitude is all you need in Rock n Roll anyways. Your quality is great!

I think it is funny that Jono talks all kinds of shit without posting any of his own music. I find his posts laughable. What a idiot! It is obvious that he is in the minority here. Everyone else seems to really appreciate your help. Thanks for everything.

You seem to be having a hard time understanding me. If you have something for us all to listen to, please post a link so we can hear your musical expertise. If you dont have any music to post, your responses to this thread are irrelevant. I will not respond to your questions/attacks untill you post something that you recorded on your BR-8. So, it looks like we are at a stalemate.

I really welcome you to read the entire thread again. As I stated earlier. Things came full circle long before your post to this thread. Ask anyone on this board and I am sure you will find me well liked and helpfull. It sounds like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. If something in this thread has offended you personally. I apoligise. But I would ask that you please move on and let it rest. There are far more important things in this world than getting all worked up over a post on a BBS.

This is a place for all different types of people who are into all different types of music to talk about home recording. It is not a place to criticize different styles of music.


I see that you are new to HomeRecording.com. Let me be the first to welcome you aboard newbie.

no where did i critisize any style of music...dont make things up..

i did however say that theres no pride *recording wise* in using a drum machine and a piece of equiptments plug-and-use settings, mic an amp and have it sound truly amazing, then we will have some respect moving

again i dont care about your music(not in a negative way, just in that its irelevant to what i originally said) what i said from the beginning is

dont go shooting your mouth off about things you dont know about, for example

1) you critisizing people who have zip drives installed, just because thats not the way you do it.

2) later you go on to ask people how to seperate your tracks while exporting into cakewalk - which is USING a zip drive
