i do love smilies...
Hi there.

I was just looking through some of my prefered websites for music equipment, and came upon a few stompboxes made by AXL, http://www.spectresound.co.uk/product.asp?ID=1800 and http://www.spectresound.co.uk/product.asp?ID=1807 (a flanger and a chorus respectively)

I was just wondering if anyone had used these stomp boxes before, and what they found of them... i'm not necessarily after professional equipment, but i would like some degree of quality - as you can see from the websites, they're on special offer, and that might certainly sweeten the deal :D

hehe.

anyway, thanks in advance,

Andy

Hi Andy,

AXL is good, they are copies of the Boss pedals, just the housing is a bit different [they are made out of plasic, but feel like metal] and the prices on the link are really good. I have seen these pedals here in Leeds in shops going for £35 and up, so not a bad deal.

Another plus is that these pedals will work on the normal PSA boss adaptor, so they are really flexable as they do not need their own specific powersupply.

If you have a change test these pedals against the boss models, and you will be happily surprised how well the AXL's sound like the Boss ones.

AXL seem to be quite unkown, I found out about them last year, looked at their website and.............they really seem to be a good little company.

Good luck

Eddie :)

woo!!!

:D i've actually already ordered them, because its almost inevitable that if i wait a few days to order something then it'll go up in price or something...

i feel like i've done particularly well now... i can't wait for them to come!

thanks

Andy

either that ... or you buy used Quality-stuff cheaply ...

why do you say that...? are there problems with AXL?

No No Andy,

Don't worry they should be allright, as long as they do not drop the box :D

Enjoy using them

Cheers,

Eddie
