i use these to record...so whats the best sound i can get out of this???
okay the avalon m5...whats the filter do..and should i use it?? if so where should i leave it...and how bout the +dB on the preamp...where should i leave it at? whats polarity and pad and HI-z and filter???
How would i have to fix everything so my sound would be at its best?? thanks!

I'm very sorry to respond like this but your owners manual should explain every question you just asked. Its a hell of a recording chain so far, just learn how to properly use it. Again manuals will explain everything but settings which nobody here can really explain for you either because settings vary from person to person.
