Hi Everyone.

I have a Tapco 6306 Mixer, I connect the Aux send to my Virualizer Pro then feed it back to the Aux returns, but my question is this, why is it only the right channel is affected, If I apply say a Flanger effect I can hear this in the right channel but not the left, also when checking the input levels on my Pc the left channel is a lot higher than the left now.

Thank You.

Swap cables on the aux returns. If the problem switches sides, that means that the Virtualizer is only outputing one channel. If the problem doesn't move, it is the aux input.

If it's the virtualizer, you need to figure out why it's only putting out one side. If it is true stereo and you are only feeding it a mono input on the right, that might be why it's only effecting the right side. Try plugging it into he left input, that is normally the mono input.

Also check the Virtualizer's settings.

It may be that it is in dual-mono mode: you send a mono signal to one side of it, and that's what you get back.

Thank you both for your quick replies, I will try all that you's suggested.

Bye.

Aux Send

Hi There.

In my Virtualizer Pro manual, it says,

If your mixing console has aux busses that feature one jack for the aux send, use audio channel 1 on the DSP2024P. In this case, you must choose the mono mode (see chapter 3.6.2).

With the above setting I at least get effects one one channel, but if I change this to stereo mode there is no effects sometimes and others works fine. Some effects work only in momo mode and some in stereo.

When I pan fully to the left it makes no difference to what I hear but pan right works normally.

Bye.

I would get a Y cable so you can feed both sides with one aux.

Hi There

This is the cable I am using from Aux send to Virtualizer Pro inputs. I am using a double ended Y Cable for the return feed.

Bye.

How are you using an 1/8 stereo splitter cable to go from a 1/4 output to the mixer to the 1/4 input of the effects unit?

Assuming the output is balanced, a 1/4 version of this will work. There might just be a setting the the effects unit that changes it from dual mono to single input.
