Automated panning

IS there a way to automate a pan from left to right in a controlled way without actually turn the knob during playback

similar to a controlled fade in or fade out I mean ....
 
Which program are you using?

Have you played around with Envelopes?

What knob??? I hope you're not using Console View. < shakes head and mutters to self, will they ever learn? >

As Porter said, use a pan envelope in Track View (or Audio View if you are using PA9).
 
Sorry for not mentioning this ...

but I use cakewalk Sonar xl ......
 
Right click on selected track in Track View... Create envelope...

Hope it helps...

thx havent worked with envelopes yet ...
perhaps I should RTFM :)
but most of the time using the search ftion on the bbs got me pretty far :)

Once you know what you are after, RTFM'ing is the best way to learn!!
