I didn't dip my toe because I thought the China -> U.S. -> us would've been prohibitive. I suppose I can wait for the next freight train.

i'd definetely be interested in a cheaper shipping option , as without i'd probably be dropping the mic purchases

Someone sen't this link to check out for shipping. Check it out and see if it is worth looking into.

in a German forum I heard about "yankit". This could turn out to be a little bit cheaper than USPS or UPS...

I have. It's currently sitting on 33 pres and 55 various mics. Seems like a good couple of pallets. Is that too small?

Also i haven't followed the PSW thread where the name changed from ACM to TNC. Anyoue know the details for curiosity sake?

I'll just have to pay whatever they charge. No way around it that I know of.

In the last buy, I bought 11 ribbon mics. When the order was placed, the exchange rate was much worse than when I paid for shipping. With that (and no I didn't have to pay duty) the mics ended up being about half the price you'd pay in Australia.

Yeh, it looks as though there will be no direct from China drop.

Still a great deal though.

I'm looking forward to checking out the new toys.

I registered twice as zeta advised. Having one sent to me and the other addressed and sent to a friend, only way I can see of avoiding the duty AND gst.
