Audix ADX-90 on Sale?

i did a search on the forum, and not much came back. these are on sale on musiciansfriend.com, for $69 bucks. i was thinking of grabbing two or three for some tom mic's. im working with a 5 mic setup now, but i'd like to get something for the toms.

(i'm using a d112 and a sm57 on the kick, thats why it's 5 mics. i was just messing around with it, and i liked the combonation of the two sounds they pickup from the kick, so i'm keeping it there for now.)

i was also considering sennheiser e604's, audix f10's, or sm57's. im not sure, but i think these little mics might be a cool addition, especially since they're on sale, and my shopping strategies involve buying anything worthwhile, thats on sale, even though i really don't need it

I've used the f10s in the past in live sound. I have no clue how they hold up in the studio but they sounded pretty nice for the price. (run with Hosa cabeling, to a Neutrik snake into a Mackie 24 channel 4 buss mixer)

They're OK at best. Compared to Senn's e604's they're garbage, I was really surprised at by the difference between the two mics. Muddy is a good word to use for the f10's.

i'm anti-guitar center, because they are all assholes there.

i shop MF because they give me(well, my 'dad' credit,) with no interest

not every thread. most of them though. i try to steer clear of the "under $XXX best equiptment" threads. what can i say, i have no life but i have gear and i atleast give the people an opinion, or an experience.

people like to have their threads responded to...

BTW i returned these mics after buying two.. THEY SUCKED so badly.. the stupid clamps made so much noise, i didnt even know it was the clamps though. better off with 57's.

At least when log on MF to buy something you don't have a little minion in your ear telling you that you should really buy something else. GC is really bad about that.

i know MF is the same company as GC, but nobody bothers you in the store with useless crap advice.
