audition 3 recording help

Hello Im new here and I have used Audition 1 for many years but upgrading to ver 3 has me stumped. E.g - If I am recording a guitar on a track and I mess up and want to drop in at a certain spot Ver 3 creates a spacer/chapter where i dropped in, this is a problem. If I go into edit my track is split up into multi tracks which means editing/eq all have to be done on each individual drop in track grrr. Surely this setting spacers etc can be disabled i hope someone can help me with this

Ahh I read you. Not sure about disabling, but from what I gathered, why would you EQ each individual recording within a track anyway? It's all on say "audio track 2," right?
