Hello!

Has anyone used an Audiophile 2496 with another card in their system? Getting specific: Windows XP Pro, the Audiophile, and a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.

Can they live in harmony? (pardon the pun). Or will it / can it cause problems?

Thanks,
Bill

You shouldn't have any problems. I've got an Audiophile and an SB Live in my rig at home and they both work fine. You may have to do some PCI rearranging to get them to work though (I did).

Thanks for the reply! Just got the SC, and the Audiophile is on the way...

I use the Santa Cruz

Bill,

I use the Turtle Beach Sant Cruz and have found it to be the best computer sound card I've ever used. I just wish it had more channels in. It is deadly quiet and does an excellent job recording. The built in effects are great, but I really don't use them except to preview what I want to try. When I'm satisfied with the sound, I then move to my sound editor, Digital Orchestrator Pro, and add the same effects. It's a good way to work. I happen to like Voyetra/Turtle Beach stuff a lot.

Good luck.

Harburton,

So far, I'm happy with the SC. Better than my SBLive, IMO, and I used to be a SoundBlaster zealot! :)

I haven't had a chance to do any real recording yet, this thing called 'work' keeps getting in my way.

Wow, in less than 1 year, I've changed my long-standing view on components twice! (once was when I got my Athlon 1.2, now the SC).

Later on,
Bill
