Audiogram 6 and Cubase AI4 on Windows Vista

Has anyone gotten this setup to work? For some reason in Cubase AI4, even though under Devices > Device Setup I have the USB Audio device selected for input and output the program is not picking up any sound when I play. The Audiogram is because the level lights are lighting up, but in the program the level indicator is not showing any input sound.

Note: under "state" the device is "inactive", is this the problem? How do I fix it?

You did select the in en out, but did you also select the driver?

Having the same issues on my AI4 using a USB mixer

just struggled with the same problem for my old projects when I reinstalled the driver. all of the inputs for that oroject were set inactive. there is a menuchoice on the same menu as devices called vls manage, or something. I do not have Cubase in front of me as I write. here you can change input for every track, and the device beacame active afterwards.
