One of the very best microphones that AT ever produced in my not so humble opinion. I have a pair of them that see a LOT of use.

I love this mic!!! Crisp, clear and fat bottom end... Great for vocals, acoustic guitar, and drum overheads...

Probably one of the best under $300 mics ever made.

One of the best "budget" mics ever! I've never owned one, but I've always wanted one... Since the first year they were released!
In comparison to Studio Projects, it's a different animal compared to my C3, especially the way I recommend using the C3 most of the time; with quite a bit of space.

A versatile mic. Big smooth lows, attenuated midrange-slightly scooped out mids, crisp detailed highs. It's not a neutral mic, it's a flattering mic that is somewhat hyped
Out of all the mics I own it is the first own I reach for on acoustic guitars and guitar amps. The only negative is that it is sensitive to noise inside and outside the studio. It's the only mic I own that clearly sounds better through my cheap tube preamps than my solid state ones. The 4033 and a ART preamp is a beautiful match IMHO. It makes the highs smoother.

The 4033 was the first great "budget" condenser mic. A classic.

Not directly, but from messing around with both at various times, I can say the 4033 is a little more flattering as opposed to neutral, like the B1. The B1 might be a little more forgiving of esses, sharp consonants and the like to it's credit. It's an amazing $80 mic, but not quite in the same league as the 4033.

I got one used last month. The mic is in perfect condition. Also got the shock mount. The whole deal plus shipping ran me $240.
