Audio Stuttering in AA 2.0

The Way It Moves
When I play back my mixes in Audition, the audio stutters like CRAZY! It won't play for more than a second and it starts chopping up and stutters. It didn't do this before my format. After I formatted, it started doing this. Any tips on how to get this to stop so I can hear my mixes and finish the vocals and drums on this track??!!

Oh yeah, and when I turn off some of the FX on the tracks, the stuttering stops a little bit and gets better, after a bit, though, it gets bad again.

Freeze the track so I doesn't eat up all your processing power and mem.

How many FX are you running at once?
How much memory do you have?

Also I would make sure I had the latest drivers and XP updates.
If you are running virus software on the PC turn it off.

Do a search for XP tweeks for some other tips. (are you running XP)
 
Looks like I'm running seven effects at once and I have 1GB of memory.

Like I said, it's never done this before... I'm sure that I'm running the latest drivers--it stutters when running through my FCA202 and through my on-board sound. I don't run anti-virus because they suck up processing power.
 
It only stutters on this one song I was working on... all the others I have recorded play back just fine. However they also have a couple or so fewer tracks than the song that is experiencing the stuttering.
