no samples but trust me its worth it...at least with dynamic or ribbon mics...i was using my mackie stock pre's for my SM7 got the RNP all i can say is 
to the difference..it went from lo fi and grainy...to hi fi and full...wit my marshal mxl 1006(condenser mic) the difference was more subtle but the lower mids sounded more defined less muddy

That last little "riff" I posted in the MP3 clinic was using an RNP as a bass D.I. and an RNP with a Sennheiser e609 Silver on the guitar riff...
The RNP is worth the money, I use for drum overheads everytime.
