This is getting annoying now. I found an ActiveX plugin called Ray Gun, but it cut parts out of your tracks so you had to buy the software.

All I need is some noise reduction software. Can anyone help. Active X plugins are fine.

ray gun

ray gun doesn't the best noise reduction plug in that you can get. personally I used ray gun just in very specifically matters. If you need a noise reduction plug in try NR 2.0 from Sound Forge.
there a lot of them but it is the best in my opinion. Of course, if you have a lot of money, go directly to cedar or sadie systems.
wave has a bundle restoration with noise reduction, Diamond Cut offer a noise reduction either, but for me SF Noise reduction is the best in middle range.

I cant seem to find it... I am looking for something free here though.

You mentioned freeware - since I haven't seen any NR freeware I dodn't say anything. Now it sounds like you're considering a purchase...

Raygun is somewhat cool but really really hard to operate for me. It uses some of the same downward expansion that its big brother Ionizer has - but with much less control. The directions say things to the effect of 'if the control doesn't reduce noise in one direction then move it the other way'...argh. It does click, rumble, and has bass an high enhancement. I've put it away though myself.

I'm using voxengo Redunoise right now, last night they just added the 'learn' feature that is common to broadband noise reduction tools, so now I put this one on par with Ionizer (I have that one) and Waves (don't have that one - guessing). In fact I was considering asking the Waves restoration owners if they wanted to have a shootout but I haven't done it yet.

PS What type of noise reduction are you talking - clicks, hum, broadband noise, tape hiss, etc.

I have not found a free NR software. I use CoolEdit's noise reduction.

since I haven't seen any NR freeware I dodn't say anything.
