audio recordings are delayed

When I play guitar or basguitar while palying midi, everything sounds fine, during recording. However, if I listen to what I recorded, the audio that I was playing is delayed (something like 50 to 250 ms). I have tried already to change somesettings, but I can't fix the problem. Furthermore, I used to record without these delays in the past with the same hardware, except that I now use soundblaster live. Can anybody help me with this?

It's the soundblaster Live that is creating the delay or Latency as it's called. Cubase likes ASIO drivers and the SB Live doesn't have them. You could try using the APS drivers for the SB Live

in Options - Audio - System, try and see if your SB live doesn't have a directx driver at least... that should put it down to about 50 ms
