Today i was recording and once i finished and started listening on the computer the track, i realized my voice was low. I checked the level control of my mic and it was setted as usual. It turned out that now i have to set the level of my mic higher that before. What do you think is the problem?

I use a Presonus Audiobox USB as AI and a AT2020 XLR as a mic.

My mic vocals are set "low" in relationship to the mix for many reasons. Mainly so I don't clip. I then use a gain (either in compression or an actual gain) to get the signal to sit with everything else due to all the other signals being boasted.

I would make sure you have a good no clipping signal. Put it in the mix, turn everything else down to fit the mix and then boast the mix in the master. Once you add drums, synthesizers, guitars, etc. it gets very competitive.

Make sure you are talking/singing into the correct side of the mic.
