Audio mixdown glitches

I'm finishing up a project, and I've been mixing songs down to mp3s just to listen to them in their roughly mixed state. My new songs extensively use the Groove Agent ONE VST plugin, and I packed all of the drum pads with drum samples in most of the tracks. The problem is when I mix my songs down the drum sounds are frequently glitched, especially the hand claps. In one track I panned the hand claps 65% Right, and when I listen to the MP3 there is a frequent strange glitchy sound that mirrors the hand clap, coming from the center. It's extremely annoying and has marred several of my tracks. It almost sounds like the hand claps are "echoing" to the center. It's very hard to explain. I know this doesn't really have anything to do with the specific samples I used, because different samples have been affected by this issue the same way. I wonder what the problem could be.

PS: I'm using Cubase Studio 5

Just to confirm: This happens during mixdown and NOT during realtime play???

Sounds like a problem with the VSTi, but I couldn't begin to guess. Hope you get it figured out.

Sorry, I don't have anything to help. One small possibility is you might be using a mono processing plug on a stereo track. I've had weird results when I have done that in the past. But you would hear that during live play as well as mixdown.

Maybe post a sample so we can hear what the problem is.

Hey guys well I was able to solve the problem (strangely) by increasing the bitrate. The version that has been since released on CD no longer has the glitch. However, I had to lower the bitrate from 320 to 160 in order to upload some of the tracks onto my Reverbnation page, and unfortunately the problem returned. The glitching is especially prominent on the track "Rowing Rights". Take a listen and tell me what you think.
Thanks ya'll.

Maybe it could be a fualt with a send to a reverb plug-in? So somehow you are only hearing the reverb of the handclaps and not the handclaps.

Also could posssibly be lack of processor power? But then you wouldnt be able to listen to the Mix in Cubase. hmm, its a strange one.
