I know there's plenty of posts on this already and i've read some reviews on each but I just need a clear cut "2nd opinion" from some people before I buy. Studio Projects VTB-1 or an M-audio AudioBuddy as my first mic pre on a tight budget??
I'm leaning towards the VTB-1 so far but does the AudioBuddy's 2nd input increase the value for the (from what I've generally heard) slightly lower quality sound. I also saw a review (may have been a typo) said the Audio Buddy has 41.4V Phantom Power?? Don't they need 48V for a condenser?
I'll be basically running an acoustic guitar and vocals almost exclusively for the time bieng mic'd through a SP B-1, Shure sm58 and maybe soon an Oktava 319 --> SB Live --> Sonar 2.0XL. Would buying the VTB-1 eliminate my need for a Behringer 802?? Or should i still go for the 802 as well for comp recording??
Thanks very much for the help. BJ
