ATM33a OR AKG C2000B - ADVICE URGENTLY SOUGHT!

This is turning into an Epic quest....
After trying to hunt down the MXL603, the Oktavas, the ADK SC1s I'm thwarted at every turn.
My UK dealer can't get any of these mics for at least 10 days, but I'm on a very tight recording schedule & my band have booked a cottage in the country to hole up in & record our album next week.

So I can't afford to wait around.

What I can get right now in my price range are:

Audio-Technica ATM33a
OR
AKG C2000b

I've heard good things about both mics - and we're primarily going to be recording acoustic guitar ( although I guess the C2000 will do a nice job on vox too)

Help & advice urgently needed!

P.S - please don't suggest any other alternatives - it's really down to either of these at this late stage, and likely as not, we won't be able to get whichever doozy U.S mics you favour :)

Many thanks!

I can only comment on the C2000B. It's a highly underrated mic, IMO, it's a poorman's 4033. Good on Vocals, and great on acoustic instruments. I can give you a link to a song I did using only a C2000B through an ART Tube MP.

It's a great and versatile starter mic that you will continue to use as you grow.

Cool - thanks man.
I guess I'm gravitating to the AT because you can get that real clarity & detail with the small dia mics, but so many people praise the AKG for its' ability to be a jack of all trades...
