I added a bass line to Gummblefish's drums & guitar-Not flashy but it should carry it along a little better. I will add mandolin and probably some guitars if we need them-is it solely acoustic or can I add some electric guitars too?

Atlantic City Collab-bass line is on my soundclick-have a listen you guys.....Tony

Good work T, Bass is nice and fat. I like it. Mandolin would be great too. Of course you can add what ever you want...that goes for all of you guys! I was thinking it could be Folky but move it somewhere else towards the end. Paul's idea of having a choir might be great actually. I think i am going to add an organ as well. Dont want it to be too crowded though. We still have alot of scope for movement though. Happy Days!!

Anto i am going to send you my email address so you can send me some stuff!

Go study management you mess! (Jack and I know each other froms school)

I'll try put something onto this later, I feel bad but I'm the middle of exams.

Is there bass on your vocals version Gummble? I'm a bit confused, but I take it it's best to send you any tracks I add and you can mix it all at the end?

I have a little bell riff for the bridges....can anyone play a half decent harmonica?

Gummble can you PM me your e mail and I'll send you this file.

I sent the bass track you're way Gummble-it's in Wav. form so have fun with it. I need to learn some new mandolin tunes for this Sat. night this evening and brush up on some others, sounds like we are gonna have a pretty full house for the show! :D

Ok ive added Anto's Bass line and also another two guitar parts in tandem at the end section. I was also fooling around with an organ and a piano but im not sure to go with either. The organ is very low in the mix at the last verse, the piano was'nt used.

That is sounding just great! I will try to get some more parts added soon, weekend is looking a bit busy-I have a gig with the bluegrass band and it looks like a full house for it ;)

Tele and Gummble,

Forgive my butting into this collaboration.

I’ve never heard the original recording of Atlantic City, but I couldn’t resist adding a mandolin part to your tracks. It’s a great song!

I love Tony's bass track!

Let me know if the mandolin is acceptable and I’ll email a wave file.

Atlantic City

Cool Playing 60's, i like it alot! I will send you an email address.
Thanks Anto, that Bass worked out great, Keep it coming this is working out pretty well i think.

I was thinking that it should start wilh just the bass, Vox and drums then build up with each verse. I may add a six string Banjo at some point, maybe the middle eight.

Guys I tried to record a banjo part today....and man did it suck. Everything sounded like a lo-fi mess. I may try put a piezo on it, but it aint looking good :(

I played some lead fills on the song today-a mandolin one on the first break and some electric leads at various places and at the outro of it.
I had a mandolin rhythm part that was done on my computer before Randy's (60's Guy) so you may want to combine them or just use his on a mix. I want to add to the vocal chorus but that will have to come tomorrow-got the gig coming this afternoon.
All the electric parts are my Gibson Paul so there is room for TelePaul's Tele or his Martin. Lets hear you're stuff Paul! :D

Atlantic City-lead fills is the MP3 tell me if you want the Wav. files Mr. G or Mr. T~~~~~~~~~~~ ;)

Tony,

After I went back back to listen to the mando that I recorded to the track I grabbed I noticed that your mandolin was possibly on there also (I think).

I also noticed that my playing was pretty sloppy at times and a cut and paste is in order. :o

Off to listen to your additions. :)

Good job, Tony!

Chris will have plenty of material to work with.

Where's my banjo? :) ;)

Cheers Anto and 60's. Can you send me those files Anto? maybe if you want to wait until you are sending your other parts. I think im going to combine parts from all over and try and make a bit of a mash up with this. Theres quite alot of stuff going on there now, it would probably make George Martins head spin... :D

I have a few more parts to go on there myself including ooh's and ahh's in the outro a la the connells 74-75 and a windchime.

Thanks for your comments F.S.

I'm sending what I have so far, most of the guitar lead stuff should be sent already. Mandolin stuff is processing, also should be arriving soon-hopefully!
Sort through it and use what is fitting for the song-its coming along good thus far..

Ok, so i have added a few more things to this track now and made a few Mix decisions (nothing finalized though). First off, the track starts with Anto's Bassline, drums and vox then i add Anto's Mandolin and my acoustic guitar at the chorus.
At the End of the chorus section we hear 60's Mandolin and Anto's together. 60's mandolin makes an appearance on the next
Anto does backing Vox on the next Chorus and the rest of the song (great job BTW)
I also added in some ooh's and Ahhs at the end section as well as Anto's lead line. Reminds me a bit of Robbie Robertson :)

Still needs to be mixed properly but gives you an idea of what we are dealing with. (sounds great on headphones)
More to follow !
