Ok, so i have added a few more things to this track now and made a few Mix decisions (nothing finalized though). First off, the track starts with Anto's Bassline, drums and vox then i add Anto's Mandolin and my acoustic guitar at the chorus.
At the End of the chorus section we hear 60's Mandolin and Anto's together. 60's mandolin makes an appearance on the next
Anto does backing Vox on the next Chorus and the rest of the song (great job BTW)
I also added in some ooh's and Ahhs at the end section as well as Anto's lead line. Reminds me a bit of Robbie Robertson :)

Still needs to be mixed properly but gives you an idea of what we are dealing with. (sounds great on headphones)
More to follow !

This thread sure got buried fast! Its sounding good, the sparse start with just bass & drums might need a guitar chord here and there to help it flow a bit though.
It coming along well anyway.. :)

Sorry I missed this new mix, gummble.

I rather like the sparseness of the beginning.

Between 1:11 and 1:21, I would eliminate my mandolin and just go with Ton'y's mandolin part.

Good harmony! I found myself singing an even higher part to it.

Sounding cool.

Really digging the vox.

I tend to agree that the two mandolin parts together leave me searching for a strong rythem part undernieth.

I personally would bring the accoustic guitar in first and then one of the mandolins. Maybe switch the two manolins parts back and forth like a dual of sorts.

I like the electric solo at the end, but I would throw a huge verb on it to sink it into the song a little more and give it that bluesy feel.

Sounding very cool though and I have contibuted nothing to the song so feel free to ignore me completely:D

F.S.

Cheers Guys. I think you are right antofan about the intro/first verse sparseness. I may bring the guitar in earlier, its trying to fing the right balance without stepping on anythings toes.
Also I've noted that suggestion 60's, I'm gonna play around with this in a few days time when i get a bit of free time. I'm starting preproduction work on my new album this weekend and i got a million things to do...Plus I'm hungover from last night
