Finally some ribbons I can consider...Ive been holding off because all the affordable ribbons are from companies I dont wanna deal with...and all the quality companies were over $1500...
Has anyone tested these yet?

My initial reaction is skepticism, mainly because they went with an active ribbon design. Yeah, in theory, it makes it less dependent on the quality of your preamps. In practice, the active ribbons I've used have been noisier than a New York subway station during rush hour.

Ive learned something over the years about being the first person to buy something...it that Id rather have the revised one and let others beta test with thier checkbooks...I still think $800 is alot for something like this so I wouldnt want a bad one...as much as I trust in Audio Technica I guess Ill have to wait a while.
