That's pretty much always been the way BIN works. If you set a reserve, the BIN won't die until your reserve price is hit. So it usually doesn't make sense to get a BIN without putting the open at a respectable amount.

haha yeah......The guy I got it from had a pair, and was selling them for super cheap, but by the time I got there he had already sold one, but I got the one he had left, then realized 1. I didn't have the cash to get ANOTHER one, seeing I'm on a teenage budget and 2.heard that the at4050 isn't good on high voices, and that is exactly what I have, a high airy voice......CRAP! 
So I'm going to get a pair of Hamburgs, I've heard they're great, and they aren't that expensive, and I can actually afford them I'm ok with selling it though, he lived like 30 minutes away from my house so it wasn't a big deal.
