At4041

hi,

I am such a newb with mics. I wanted to get good acoustic gtr sound, and I read somewhere by Bruce a long time ago about the 4041 that they sound good on acoustic guitars. A few months, I am sitting here with a brand new 4041, and wondering what else I can do with this baby.
I have tried it on vocal, guitar amp, and acoustic. I am wondering what other things you people do with a small condenser. Toms, snare, overhead?? Am I missing anything here?

and, for those people with 4041, can you share some experiences with me?

Go to 8thstreet.com they have them in bulk packs for like $160, get another one and use them as overheads. They are cond=sidered pretty nice mics, but the 4051 is supposedly the nicer of the line.

yeah, I got it from 8th street, but thru ebay. I got a brand new 4041 for $173 SO, that's my tip of the day

yeah, once I have experienced enough with this mic and understand how to work it, and if I like it, I will definitely get another one. Thanks for the input
