At4033

4047 Or 4033? For Rock And Screamo/screaming Vocals? Which one is better?

Keep in mind, this is going to be my main vocal mic.

I like the texture of the 4033 but some folks find it to be a bit grainy. The 4047 is pretty much the favorite around here

Thanks a lot Big Kenny. From what I can gather the 47 seems to be a bit better on vocals while the 33 is more all purpose but not quite as good on vocals typically. Is that about right?

A lot of folks would agree with that. I like the 4033 on vox as well, not all voices, but mine for one. The 4047 is pretty much what you put in, you get back.

You would be wise to try out a couple of the AT's, the 4040 is nice too. Not as nice as the others but these are opinions, not facts

It's fine dude. If I don't like the 4047 I'll just sell it. I make $700/m and my bills are 75. I live in my parents basement. I can afford to lose a little money trying out a mic that is getting stellar reviews. I basically just need something that sounds better than my C1. I'm sure I'll think it's fine. Thanks a lot.
