Audio tecnica is a good mic company. I have a 3525 and like it a lot. As far as if that particular mic is any good, buy it, try it out and if YOU think it sucks take it back and try somthing else.

I started to buy one and got the Studio Projects C1 instead. I talked to a guy over at Sweetwater Sound about the 3035...they had just got them in and tested it less than an hour before I talked to him about it....he was really stoked about it....said it sounded like a U87 (everyone's favorite mic to benchmark against
). You can pick them up for $179. It's an electret mic though...some people are put off by that because it's permanently charged and some people claim they lose charge as time passes....you'd have to ask someone who knows more about it than me to get any details...like Harvey Gerst or someone.

AT 4047 SV here... Great mic...Use it for everything!!
All of Audio Technica's tend to be sleepers out here, you never hear a lot about them. I just keep laying down track with mine... It's usually the first or second mic I reach for.
