Apologies for a redundant question. I just purchased the AT3035 and Mackie VLZ 2020. I know the AT3035 requires phantom power, but I presumed the Mackie would supply the power for the mic, but I get no sound. I have the mic connected with an XLRm unbalanced cable. Is this is why no sound into mixer?

thanks for the help.

You'll only get phantom power form the xlr balanced connector from the board.

I know this sounds stupid, but make sure you actually have phantom power turned on. I have made this mistake WAY more often than I would like to admit. :D
