Last night we did our holday show (I play percussion for a dance company) I also do some of the staging and rehearse some of the singers. I provide a lot of the mics, but we had a lot of sigers this time. I had a limited budgetand needed to pick up a few good dynamics for a child soloist and some background singers.
Some-one I trust at GC reccommended these mics and I was able to score them for $39 each (that's probably regular price, I didn't haggle this time, I was in a hurry).
These mics performed GREAT!!!
They put out a VERY strong clean signal and tolerated different ranges really well. They far outperformed the SM58 that I used for one of the baritone singers and were as good but not as overly bright as the Sennheisser e835 that I used for the soprano. I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure how they will do in a studio situation, but on stage, they were wonderful....and cheap.
