AT 4050 problem?

intial phantom powering and switching p/u patterns causes my preamp meters to pin 2 to 3 times ..even with the preamp set at the lowest settings.is that normal???????

i have the the 4040, and i've never had this problem. i use the 4050 in school all the time and i've never encountered such a problem. i wish i could be of some more help

Yes. it's normal. Switching on phantom power and p/u patterns causes a loud "POP" with just about any multipatrern condensor mic.

thanks......this is my first multi pattern mic.was screwing around with m/s technique on acoustic guitar WOW what an effect!!!!!
