I have a few questions about associating wav files with a midi keyboard.
I own roland an xp-50 keyboard and have cubase sx.
I want to be able to take a wav file (i.e. maybe a short sample that i record myself or obtain somewhere else) and assign it to a key on my keyboard. I would like to be able to make each key have a different sound. So for example, middle c could be some drum loop, d could be a guitar, etc....
I want to do this so i can record samples of anything i want and then be able to play them on a keyoard in real time. I figure that i can use midi somehow to trigger the wav files (samples) that are on my computer.
I have a midi connection to and from my computer via a layla sound card.
Any help would be appreciated.
