ART Pro VLA vs. RNC

Man, I am getting a sour deal here if yours is on the way. Mine, after all of this shit, is now on backorder for est. 32 days. Then they have to process and ship my order. If there is a $10 difference, maybe I'll just cancel my order and re-order at $229. Man, what a ride. Oh well, in the meantime I guess I can start tracking my next song.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. I as about to just cancel it totally and go look around the stores, NYC 48th st. if I had to; I haven't been downt that street in a while.

Then after work, just now, I got the shipping confirmation. So I got an order confirm, then a backorder notice, then a ship confirm; So check your email later, you may be in the same boat.

This may be the last time, I don't know....
 
Mine's definitely on it's way. Well, something is on it's way. Checked the tracking number and it's scheduled for delivery 9/28. Kinda wondering what's going to be in the box this time :)

What a storm! Hurricane Jeanne, that is. Well, I guess this thing with MF too. My e-mail said the same as yours...it is now on the way. Only as recent as last Thursday a girl at MF told me over the phone my specific order would take "over a month" to fill. Wow. Again, what a ride. I wait with great anticipation to induct the VLA into my rack. Hopefully this time it happens. :rolleyes:
 
Something's on it's way to me also. It's probably something from ART. That's all I know so far. Probably be here before Friday.
 
I think mine's scheduled for delivery today. Course I'm at work and won't know for sure till tonight. Still don't know if I'm going to send back the first one (the mis-packaged Pro Channel). Does that thing have any uses or what?(musically - I don't need a doorstop or paperweight :p )

Yup, got mine delivered today. Phew... about time... what a MF saga .. glad it's over. Think I'm going to send back the Pro Channel ... would be better of taking the cash and picking up something better.

Alright. I feel good about my order too, knowing they got yours right this time. If you hook it up and play with it soon, let me know what you think. Mine is scheduled for Friday and once hooked up, I'll do the same.
 
Got it. So far, it seems very smooth.

It also works good feeding it stereo mix.

It's hard to make it mess up and get it to make pumping and breathing effects, it's set up to not do that. Wacky huge meters.
 
Got mine too and hooked it up last night. Excellent on the two buss! Just what the doctor ordered. I know what you mean, it is very smooth. Glad I waited for this. The meters don't seem very sensitive, maybe it's just me. I just started working with it so I've got some exploring yet to do. Massive Master was right on with this one. Very decent piece of equipment, especially for the price. Now I have two pieces of ART gear I like (the other is an EQ). I'm happy. :)
 
I normally don't print compression, but I tried it this time and it helped. Not a good test tho, b/c I did a style I never do, but if I can find a some that isn't totally embarassing, I'll paste it and mp3 it.

tonight I'll try some normal acoustic stuff, after I upload some projects and make space and document it....
