nope-- looks like a brand new unit. seems to have several improvements over the original which is seen as a great value compressor
 
improved metering + variable attack/release speeds = glad i didn't get the PRO VLA already

this thing will look damn sweet sitting in the rack with my MPA gold also...
 
eh....i take that one back. MF is taking preorders of the VLAII for $379, while the original VLA has dropped to $200...which, of course, will make used VLA's worth about the same as an RNC.

i guess the question is...is it worth $180 to have extra control over the attack/release?
