Arrgh!! This is why I hate mail orders...

As expected.....MF has again revised the availability date for the MR-8....Now, it's due in stock on 5/16/2003.

I just checked MF a few minutes ago, and now they claim they'll have more MR-8's in stock on the 25th (in 4 days!!!). Sweet! Not that I actually believe it though...
 
I just bought a PODXT from American Musical Supply, for $399, no probs, fast free shipping, then I found out RiksMusic had it for $349, I emailed AMS and they said they would match the lower price even after I had received it...
totally cool...:)

if ams is so great why are their prices higher then other mail order, sure they will match prices so does zsounds and mf, why not make the prices as low as the competition, they will make a few more bucks on the people who dont know any better...

just an opinion
 
Well, I finally got my shipment notice email from MF. I'll have an mr8 this Friday, according to UPS. All my problems are now solved and I'm truly happy.

Dave, I just got my "scratch and dent" MR-8 from Musicians Friend in the mail today. I've seen them come and go VERY quickly on the site...if you don't catch one in about 15 minutes or so they disappear. I got mine for only $240! I can't believe they took $60 off the price just because it didn't have the original box, and has this barely noticeable imperfection at the very edge of the clear plastic cover that protects the LCD. Other than that it seems to work perfectly! And I can't believe how decent the built-in mic sounds! But I'm eagerly awaiting my SM-58 in the mail tomorrow ;)

Unfortunately I won't be able to play around with my new toy until tomorrow afternoon...damn final exams are crampin' my style! :-D
 
I found it amusing that my MR-8's CF card even came with the previous owner's attempts at making music...I understand now why he returned the unit! hahaha!

Sorry, that was mean, but if you heard these songs you'd probably say it too! :-P
