eh Kryogh do you know anything about MICROPHONE PHASE RELATIONSHIPS?? i just started a thread and still cant find an answer
 
High frequencies are more directional than low frequencies, so the highs more or less travel straight out from the centre of the speaker cone while the lower frequencies spead out more. What this means is that if you have your amp on the floor down by your knees you aren't hearing most of the highs that it's putting out, try listening to the sound of the amp from the spot that you have been placing the mic and see if it sound too bright down there, also you usually dont need to use as much distortion as you think you do to get a good sound.

my amp is not on the floor, its over a small base. im directly facing the center when im on a chair so i get the full sound. anyhow these days i've been trying to find a good distorted sound
