Yes, the units are compatible. I would recommend that you use an XLR to TRS or an XLR to XLR cable, and here's why- The 1/4" outputs on the Nady unit are unbalanced, so if you go by 1/4" to the Tascam's ins, the signal will be unbalanced, even though the Tascam has balanced ins. That's no big deal, but you lose about 6db of gain. The balanced outs on the Nady are XLR's. You could also go XLR to XLR, as the front panel XLR ins on the Tascam are mic/line ins, and you will be using line level, not mic level. Make sure the +4/-10 switch on the back of the Tascam is set for +4, not -10. Also, if you go XLR to XLR, make sure you are using a shielded (patch) cable, *not* a mic cable, which are generally unshielded, unless you like lots of noise, and you want to hear the local AM radio station on your recordings.
