Are popups part of the XP bundle?

"msn messenger" chat software is total different and independent of the "windows messenger" in services
 
yeah man, it's when peple get your IP address, they can spam through that.

do a search for start up or windows services i think it is, then you can just disable it somewhere in there. i think its called windows messaging?
 
Heya,

I haven't had any dialog popups since I have disabled the windows messenger, so that's great. I realize that it was just broadcasting my IP everywhere, and not actually an installed spyware program. Still though, it's funny how when I was running windows 98, I never ever had that kindof problem.

However, the other popups aren't going away yet, so I'm gonna try the ol EMSproject thingy.
