Tone is fine , not "boomy nor weak" (is a sampler, no?),groove is "mechanical", but seems works in the small example.It depends what you´ll do with the "*melody" ;

It's an FM synthesizer. Very true what you said. I think I'll work on the groove a bit more. Thanks !

Like the first one better by far. The problem here its that is too repetitive. Maybe that's what you were going for, like a loop. I though I was hearing Natural Mystic, which is good!

It's interesting what you said because I listened to the first one and indeed it's as if the second one had lost something. I'll try to add some variety to it. And yes, it's in the Natural Mystic niche . Thank's for lending the ears .
