I hope so. The original song was done sparsely on purpose to give keys some space in the mix. But if he can't, maybe someone else can? I can't play them well enough to do it (the coordination is so different than a fretboard).NL5 said:

Yeah, I feel ya on that one!! I might do a few different tracks (depending on time constraints (somehow I'm supposed to fit having sex with Angelina Jolie in my weekend schedule (and Alyssa Milano))) and see what you guys like best. Got some cool ideas so far...

Would it be at all possible to get a copy of the scratch track minus drums? I know you guys already have a drummer on this but I would kind of like to play with it, for my own curiosity more than anything else.

Well, I did the scratch track, but I already deleted it from my harddrive since it was posted on the server already. I'm sorry about that. I don't have two harddrives in my pc, so I usually don't keep the files once I get a mix that I'm satisfied with, and this one was a no-brainer because it was a scratch. I supposed I could redo it, but it would not be the same...MrKwik said:

Na, thats cool. I don't want you to redo it on my account. I missed the boat on this deal anyway. Im just playing around anyway. If you end up doing another one of these, I would like to get hold of the tracks without drums before you delete them. I would like to get involved at some point and see if I can lend anything to the project.

That's cool. It wouldn't have been much of an effort to redo it, but you're right. As far as the next one, I may not be the one who submits the scratch track, but I guess for future reference, I won't delete my tracks until the project is closed. Of course that may change, I typically have at least 2 things going at the same time (it's a curse, my mind is always buzzing with ideas...). But if we do start another one, keep your eyes on the board, so that you can jump in at ground level.MrKwik said:

I wanted to lay down a guitar track to the bass and drums but there seems to be some timing issues. So for the hell of it I broke out my trusty drum machine and pounded out a basic beat. Then I added Rokket's Bass track and a couple of guitar tracks. You can still hear some timing deviations between the bass and the other tracks in a few spots but it isn't horrible.
