Anyone using the RME Quad Mic pre

It's no Great River or Chandler, but it sounds a lot better (and is quieter at higher gains) than a Mackie VLZ pro preamp.

I've only heard recordings of the Sytek so I can't give you any point of A/B reference. The Sytek seemed very clean.

I've got one, and while I haven't put it through it's paces yet, my initial impressions are that it's really clean, and is hella quieter than the DMP3 I had previously. I will have some examples in the next few weeks.

Hey fellow Wisconsinite, look forward to it, what do you have to compare it to? also, where did you get it?

My other preamps right now are the ones in my MOTU 828MkII, a VTB-1, and the Presonus Digimax LT. They all sound very close to each other (subtle differences), but the QuadMic is definitely the quietest.

Picked it up at Kraft Music. It's not listed on the site, but if you call, it can be ordered.
