Awww, shucks... thanks.
If you look at an earlier thread in this forum, I have disclosed some details about the labor force we use. It's at:SHEPPARDB. said:I think Harvey is a hellofanice guy too!(plus its really fun to say
his name with a very slow southern drawl)Before I ever found this site,I found his e-mail address. He was one of the first people to help me understand some things about recording, and I app -reciate that. But if this thread were about a radio shack product, and a radio shack salesman were to come on this board and make comments in a thread that was started about one of the products he sold, you fuckers would crucify him.
Howinthefuck do you guys decide what is spam and what is not?
It is no wonder that we cant get more industry pros here. One word on a product from a senior member, and a hundred folks are right behind them.(a hundred that never bothered to try the product, but opted to take the advice of a stranger because of a high post count.)
I keep wondering when one of you is gonna accuse the thread starter of working for Harvey, and accuse Harvey of using under paid,pre-teen,Chinese Lukemia victoms to manufacture his headphones.
Nothing at all against you Harvey, just pointing out something that bothers me.
I know, but ya gotta read that thread - it's really funny.SHEPPARDB. said:Harvey,I am not calling you into question at all my freind.I was just commenting on the mind set of this bbs.
On a lunch break.Badger said:I read it...where were all the blonde virgins when I came out there?
Ain't that the truth !! The studio brings in about 10 to 20 times more than what the headphones make each week. I'd be thrilled of I could sell a couple of sets of headphones a day. That doesn't happen.noisedude said:I forgot how good that thread was![]()
About the spam debate - even if it is spam (and I don't think it is), it's Harvey - I really don't think he can be making much money on these phones, and we all have comeback on him on this forum. I really don't think it's the same as some big company plant lurking on here.
Try poping them open and sticking a little padding (foam, whatever) inside the cans and see if that helps bring out a little more of the bottom end.regebro said:I just received my two MoreMe Studio Deluxe headphones, and yeah, they are definitely damn good value for the money. The price range makes them a consumable, and it means you don't really have to take much care of them. If you have a studio you don't have flinch when people misuse the headphones. It's only $30!
And, they do sound fantasti....no, just kidding, honestly they don't sound very good. Especially, there is like almost no bass. Also I think the high end rolls off slightly, which actually is not a bad thing. The high end is very soft and smooth. I haven't done that much tracking yet, but I get the feeling that they aren't gonna make your ears tired. If it wasn't for the utterly puny bass response, they would have worked well as headphones when you travel. They are closed, and so block out a lot of the noise from the car/train/bus/plane/whatever. And well, you need a clumsy adapter, since the studio deluxe comes with a 1/4" inch plug.
OK, so they don't work fantasic as travel headphones, but that's not the point. Forget that little sidepath. They DO work as studio phones, seem reasonable robust, have a decent sound that doesn't make your ears tired and for that price, you don't have to think twice, really.
