Anyone used Vocalign yet? Real cool...

Anyone use Vocalign yet? Man I just got the demo and it could easily become my most used plug. Pretty cool. Gonna try it on lining up the always slightly out of phase bass DI and cabinet signals quickly and easily. Seems to work REALLY well on vocals.

I just emailed synchroarts to find out if vocalign can deal with phase cancellation from mics placed closer than the 3 to 1 rule.

If so, this has got to be one of the coolest things to come down the pike in a long time.

Apparently, it's been out for a while... maybe someone like Harvey Gerst has had some experience with it.

Here's the thrust of my question:


Can VocALign be used to eliminate phase cancellation?

For example, can I record two tracks of the same instrument
simultaneously (through different mics placed closer than the 3 to 1rule) then use VocALign to precisely line them up to eliminate the phase cancellation?

No!

VocALign aligns to a 10 mS resolution which is not sufficient to deal with phase issues.

Let us all know if it works well on your DI bass situation, as the manufacturer doesn't seem to be confident that it will work in that capacity.
