Anyone use this soundproof drywall?

That's some pricey stuff. If you're not pulling in high dollar clients on a daily basis, I can't see needing something as serious as the THX.

I hung 1/2" soundboard (the pressed sawdust stuff) and screwed 5/8" sheetrock (the thick stuff, paid $14 each for it) and it keeps my neighbors from being offended, and they're pretty much right on top of me on these tenth of an acre lots.

The stc on that must be close to 50... that's not too bad in comparison with the pricey stuff you've linked to.

For less money than the Quiet Rock, you can use 2 layers of standard drywall with Green Glue between the layers. You'll get the same or better performance than the Quiet Rock and not give yourself a hernia.
