I'm about to take a stab at building some bass traps using mineral wool and covering them with fabric. I used to do upholstery work and we used a material called cambric as a dust cover (the black fabric found on the bottom of chairs and sofas). The type I'm considering is non-woven polypropylene olefin (which meets flammability standard NFPA 701). It runs $1 per yard. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience using it for acoustic purposes.
