Hi:
I was just wondering does anyone know of a high quality digital piano that I can buy for $200-300? Do you know where I can purchase it? Essentially, I'm looking for a digital piano that can be plugged into an M Box 2 Mini, recorded with on Pro Tools and gives off a great piano sound that makes a great recording and sounds professional. ( Furthermore, if it has any additional sounds like strings that'd be great, but might not be necessary.) If anyone can recommend something like this please let me know.
Thanks.

In that price range you are probably better off with a soft synth than a hardware synth as far as quality of samples is concerned.

I had the piano expansion card (SR-JV-80-03) for my JV1080 and it was excellent...wouldve come to just over $300 for the rack synth and card...but you'd need a midi keyboard to play on top of that...

Any synth Ive heard that was half decent and matche the JVs soundbank was quite a bit more than $300....o the software side NIs Kontakt has some great piano libraries

Casio CDP-100. It sounds good enough for many applications. The good news is that you can get one for $300 and it has a very nice scaled weighted hammer action. It is also very light - 25lbs - and portable. You can always get a module with better sounds down the road.
