I just downloaded a free MOOG syntheses emulator called wavecraft. It is supposed to be based on the same format as classic moogs. I listened to a couple samples of what this thing is capable of and decided this was definitely what I wanted. Fantasies of the beats and sounds I was going to make with this thing filled my head as I excitedly unzipped the program and opened the read me.
Then I actually opened the program and it occured to me that I have no friggin clue how a moog works, and therefore had even less of a chance to figure out this program.

So heres the point (sorry, I have a habit of taking my time getting to those). Does anyone have the time, patience, and know how to teach me how to use this thing? I promise I am decently intelligent enough to figure it out without too much hassle and will gladly give you credit on any albums and a portion of the proceeds when I am famous ( :D bahaha), not to mention my undying gratitude. And if no one is quite that nice (which would be fully understandable) do you at least have any suggestions on an easier to use (and preferably free, I am saving for college right now after all) synthesizer?

Thanks so much ahead of time for any help :)

Thank you so much. I think I just downloaded a program that's meant for people with more experience than me, and should find a simpler program. I will check those out and, be warned I will take you up on your offer if I need to :D

Thanks again,

Just study subtractive synthesis, which is what all of the Moog synths were based on. It's extremely simple to use and understand--hence the continued popularity of subtractive synths like the ARP Odyssey, Jupiter 8, Prophet 5 and Oberheim OBXa.
