Just wondered if anyone had ever used a Unisound microphone? The one I have seen for sale has been used for wildlife documentary recording for the BBC and so should be OK I'd have thought? It is an eletret and runs from an AA battery. The seller says that a buyer shouldn't be put off by the lack of name recognition and that the mic is very good. He is also selling a few AKG and Sony mics.

Yes I have heard of them, I have one some guy gave me years ago while I was tracking is songs. He had used it on stage for live shows, it looks like a Shure 57 only black, I still have it in my mic locker but I never have used it.

Don't flame me if I am wrong, but aren't those mics in the same category as cheap sony's? Like the kind you would buy at Radio Shack?

I know the name does sound like one of those very cheap makes that you can pick at Woolworths! But, the picture makes it look a little up the ladder I think?

' The BBC Natural History unit have used 'Unisound' capsules for wildlife recording'!
