so? you know of these? i have never heard of them. mys chool has 8 or so lying around... they are these tiny condensors. if they are good i may ask to borrow them over xmas break and mess around a little...

thanks

I have 2 (bought them about 5-6 years ago). They don't see much action anymore ... but once in a while I'll use one on hihat.
I'd say if you can borrow some, go for it ... because as I recall they worked pretty well on acoustic guitar, drum overheads and even on some vocals. I think there's better mics around these days, but for just general recording, you could do worse than a pro37r. Especially if you can borrow it for free.

thanks for the info, i will see if the school will let me borrow them!

any info you have? just general stuff like list price and so on. do they still make them?

they are so tiny, almost deceptive! but thanks for the info

They're not bad. I have a couple here. One of them has developed an intermittent noise problem, I think there's a bad solder joint on its very-small PCB.

They're nice on acoustic, nothing special though. I put them up as drum overheads at a recent gig and recorded the group onto minidisc from the house console. Cymbals sounded clean, if a bit artificial.

I wouldn't recommend anybody buy them now, since there are better options for the same money or less, but if you can borrow them to play with, go for it. You'll have fun.

:)

BTW - they're still listed on AT's site and in some online catalogs...whether they're still actually producing this mic is open to question.
