These Japanese brand guitars were Strat copies. The company that made these guitars ceased production in 1985. I have one which is about 25 years old. I started learning guitar pretty much on this. I am looking to restore mine to a playable condition.

If you know about this guitar please post.
Thanks..

Anyone heard of FRESHER guitars

I have been looking this evening for info on Fresher guitars. There is very little about. All I've found out is that they are Japanese and were probably made by Chu Shin- Gakki. They were distributed by Kyowa-Shokai in the seventies/eighties. I came across someone who had traded a real Strat for one and wishes he still had it.
On Harmony Central there are reviews for Freshers of two L.P. types and a Firebird. All good reviews.
Mine is an L.P. type with built in amp and speaker. I have never been able to find any information whatsoever about it. It is a great little guitar which I bought new around 1981. I have 12 other guitars mostly high quality and it does not disgrace itself in their company in fact it shines.
Chu Shin-Gakki went on to make the Japanese Jackson guitars and rivalled if not bettered their American counterparts.
I should hang on to your Strat as these guitars seem to be on their way to acquiring minor-legendary status.
