Anyone have a Casino?

I was just wondering about potential feedback problems playing live in a band setting. I heard a guy play some blues/rock on one and it sounded killer, but I have no idea what his setup was. I just don't see how you could have it out in front of a loud amp and not get feedback.

The Casino is a true hollow body, iirc. Not like a 335 with the center block. That's yer trouble. I've seen people stuff foam into the F-holes to try to combat this problem.
Other possible fixes;
Different pickups
Less gain (are you using any dist. pedals?)
Turn the amp down some
EQ

Let me clarify

I don't play with a band or out period, so I'm not currently having any feedback issues, I just thought it was a likely potential problem, being a hollowbody.

My guitar player gets feed back all the time. He cranks his amp until the strings can play themselves. Ala Jimi Hendrix style.

It all depends on what you want to do. The Beatles used the things and played *huge* venues. Bit- they weren't playing Slayer or Black Flag, either. A Casino is one of several guitars that I use, and I love it, although the tuners got replaced early on. But- I don't play full-on rock, and if I did, I'd probably use a Les Paul anyway. It's a tool, and playing real loud distorted rock is not its strongest suit. If you want to play clean and impersonate an acoustic, (which the Beatles did often) it rocks.-Richie
