'Anyone ever used a Millenia TD-1?

I've used the 8 channel version of MM's HV-3 series of mic pre-amps; which are the same pre's in the unit you have listed.

There's not a lot of "character" to these pre's, but they are so incredibly transparent, its almost scary! In fact, that transparency could be considered a "character" I suppose.

In my opinion, MM makes some of the finest gear available. I'd like to have their SST Origin in my rack, and this unit is considered a "Mini Origin". It would be hard to go wrong with just about anything made by MM.

Hmm, I guess I don't want this unit, then. My main signal path (Rode NTK -> Yamaha AW4416) is just too cold for my ears, and I'm looking for something that will warm up the sound. I'm looking for something that will give me some of that in-your-face presence of, say, the Beatles vocals on the White Album. My stuff is so hyper-real it's almost grating.

If you need to warm things up then look at every piece of gear you own.

However, if I wanted to paint something too real into more of an impressionist sort of thing then I'd go with the Sebatron vmp-2000e. Daniel, the US rep, is a straightforward guy. You can contact him here: www.watts-up-pro-audio.com

I forgot to add that the TD-1 is truly a nice unit. For most home recordists it is one of those units that would do it all for you if you were so inclined. The prices have stayed reasonable.
